Well what do you know; the sun still came up after yesterday’s fiasco. No horse playing though, just a day with books and the dog.
The past couple months geese and mallards would stop for a day or two in the pond across the street as they migrated about. The Don would swim up right along the edge of every traveling band, among them but not really a part of the voyagers. It has been very cold this week and the pond is frozen. I haven’t seen the Don in three days. I don’t know much about ducks, but I hope he can find some shelter among the little band of reeds and few trees that bound the pond.
